When I first read the story The Body, I didn't understand what the story will be about because I didn't understand the introduction part of the story. However, by reading next paragraphs, I understood some of the story. Overall, the story is about four kids: Gordie, Chris, Vern and Teddy. All this four kids have some kinds of problems. For example, Gordie was an invisible man in his family because his parents only took care of his older brother, Dennis. However, his brother Dennis died in April suddenly. After the sudden death of Dennis, Gordie became real invisible man. Chris's dad also don't care about Chris. Teddy's father is a bit crazy that he burnt his son's both ears and as a result, Teddy became a little crazy, too. Vern suggests friends to find the corpse of little kid.
Then, there is another story called Stud City. This story is made by Gordie. However, it's not a really kid-like story. I personally think that Stud City represents Gordie's mind. Gordie mind has been damaged from very young age. Thus, this damage might have influence on the story.
The Body seemed somewhat hard to understand but I'll try to understand it.
